VIDEOS – Seoul: “Peace is not a fantasy but a prophecy…”, said the HWPL chairman

At the main Seoul’s stadium in South Korea, no less than ten thousand people gathered to commemorate the 4th anniversary of the HWPL World Peace Summit which one of its goals is the reunification of the Korean Peninsula. The event coincided on Tuesday, September 18, 2018, with the two Korean heads of state summit in Pyongyang.

The ceremony brought together some 30 former heads of state and government and ambassadors and VIPs from more than 100 countries in a sign of support for and of promotion of the Declaration for Peace and End of War (DPCW). This initiative was launched by HPLW chairman Man Hee Lee in 2014 and aims peace, stability and security around the world.

“Peace is not a fantasy but a prophecy…” M. Man Hee Lee said at the opening of the televised ceremony broadcast live on dozens of satellite networks around the world from Seoul’s main stadium.

This prophecy consists of the advent of “ a new era of peace … with messengers of peace. It is not a matter of state or a group but of each of us … our sim is to leave a legacy to our children and future generations … This new era can be achieved if we put all together our efforts, “he said.

A tireless pilgrim for peace and the reunification of Korea Peninsula, M. Lee has been working without break since 2014 for the introduction of the DPCW as an international legal document at the United Nations to strengthen international law for peace and security in the World, he said.

Earlier this week and on the eve of this event in Seoul, former leaders of Russia and the post-Soviet states have expressed their support for peace on the Korean peninsula and a legal framework to ensure peace and security in the world.

On this occasion, prominent political figures in Eastern Europe, including the President of the International Centre for Black Sea and Baltic Sea Studies, Iryna Vereshchuk, former Russian Secretary of State Gennady Burbulis, former Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko, former Romanian President Emil Constantinescu Lucinschi participated in the event.

These personalities discussed in the presence of Mr. Man Hee Lee, during the 5th Baltic Sea and Black Sea Forum, a meeting on the theme “Solidarity for keeping Peace: A Better Europe and Asia, Experience and prospects “.

The former president of Romania, Emil Constantinescu deplored during this debate the situation prevailing in the world in these terms: “We have seen too many victims of conflicts due to misunderstandings.

Therefore, it is important to respect everyone’s values. This will be an opportunity to build a new form of international relations. We can pursue security and stability by holding talks. Instead of a superficial democracy, true democracy is realised through talks. Peace can not be achieved in an oppressive environment. The peace that comes from the hearts of millions of people is true peace.

In the presence of 116 participants from more than 50 countries, including former and present presidents, members of the National Assembly of each country, educators and journalists, the BBS Centre announced the “Seoul Declaration” aimed at strengthening solidarity for the preservation of peace based on the values of humanism, spirituality, freedom and human dignity.

Stressing the importance of collective efforts for peace, former President of the Supreme Soviet of Belarus, HE Stanislaw Shushkevich noted that: “Peace initiatives here are sophisticated approaches that we are pursuing as well. It is also the form of international law that we have been waiting for. I would like to thank all your efforts and actions, and I look forward to seeing the future after the affirmation of our solidarity in peace.”

The BBS Centre members were also invited to the Peace Summit organised by Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL), co-organiser of the 5th Baltic Sea Forum and the Black Sea.

This organisation holds every year a summit for the promulgation of an international law and interreligious dialogue for world peace and cessation of wars.
