Justice – The “Highway” stone-throwing victims will be compensated by Moroccan authority in charge, says Rabat judiciary

An unprecedented verdict . Rabat’s administrative court has recently rendered a new judgment stipulating that the company in charge of highways will be required to pay motorway users, victims to assault on the road, a compensation of 10.000MAD.

One of the victims stated that she was subjected to stone-throwing by unidentified individuals while escorting her two sons and husband when this latter was driving the whole family from Casablanca to Rabat via highway. On the light of this stoning incident, the wife has suffered facial fractures that required urgent medical attention, AL-Massae reported.

The plaintiff, however, held the highways national company responsible for damages, for it is the one to control and secure access to the highway.
