Minister of Economy and Finance, Mohamed Benchaaboun, held a meeting, Friday in Paris, with his French counterpart, Bruno Le Maire, during which the two officials stressed the need to give a new impetus to economic relations between the two countries.
On this occasion, the two ministers lauded the excellent bilateral economic and financial cooperation relations, as well as the quality of the strategic partnership between France and Morocco.
They also agreed on the need to give a new impetus to these ties through a stronger involvement of SMEs in investment and trade momentum, and through innovative financial instruments.
During this meeting, the two officials also reviewed the state of financial cooperation and some bilateral agreements.
Furthermore, they discussed some issues related to strengthening cooperation links with the European Union (EU).
In a statement to MAP at the end of the meeting, Benchaaboun commended the excellent economic relations between Morocco and France and stressed the willingness of both parties to further strengthen them.
“It was also an opportunity to raise a number of topics of common interest, with regard to the major projects launched by the two parties,” he said.
