The Marhaba operation launched on June 5, 2022, is taking place smoothly and under good conditions, thanks to the involvement of all the concerned actors, notably the local authorities, the DGSN, Customs, the Border Health Inspection, the Royal Gendarmerie, in coordination with the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity.
Since the beginning of the Marhaba campaign and until 1st August 2022, 530,436 passengers (+10% compared to 2019) and 136,263 vehicles have entered Morocco through Tanger Med Passengers Port.
Two peaks were recorded during the weekends of 2nd to 4th July and 30th July to 1st August corresponding to arrivals of 62,759 and 61,468 passengers respectively.
The measures for the return phase are in place. The Port Authority invites travelers to consult the traffic forecasts available on the website and the mobile app, and to plan their return trip to avoid long waiting periods, more particularly the busy period from 25th to 30th August 2022 according to the provided schedule.
Likewise, the Port Authority informs passengers that they need a return ticket provided by their shipping company that specifies a firm date and time of travel, prior to arriving at the Port.
Numerous communication tools are available to keep passengers informed about Tanger Med Passengers Port news, including social media, the website www.tangermed-passagers.ma, the mobile app, and Tanger Med Radio (which broadcasts on FM 100 and in streaming).
