Nightly Curfew Moved to 11 p.m. as of Friday: Government

The government has decided to ban night movements nationwide between 11 p.m. and 4:30 a.m. as of this Friday. The government underlines in a statement that it has taken a series of measures to manage this stage, adding that shops, restaurants and cafes have to close their doors at 11 p.m..

All the other precautionary measures in force within the framework of the state of health emergency relating to parties, gatherings, demonstrations, cinemas and funerals will be upheld. The measures announced by the government take place on the basis of the recommendations of the Scientific and Technical Committee and take into account the conclusions of the daily and continuous monitoring of the epidemiological situation in the Kingdom, particularly the decrease in COVID-19 cases, following the precautionary measures taken by the public authorities, and as part of the actions aimed at ensuring the recovery of national economy, the statement added.

In order to ensure the success of these measures, all citizens are called upon to stay vigilant and comply with the precautionary measures issued by authorities to preserve the achievements made and contribute to a gradual return to normal life, the source concluded.
