The Public Prosecution orders the release of Louta commune president, on probation

Al Hoceima Public Prosecution has recently ordered the release of Louta rural commune President, El Mekki Hannoudi, upon spending a certain amount of time in custody at Imzouren’s Royal Gendarmerie headquarters.

To complete his release-order, Hannoudi paid an estimated amount of 10.000 MAD (bailout); however, the latter shall remain on probation until the authorities in charge decide otherwise.

It is noteworthy that Hannoudi has been arrested in light of his infamous blog, calling on the people of Louta not to abide by the government’s night-time curfew order, during the holy month of Ramadan.

Upon his release, El Hannoudi stated (on his FB page) that the authorities have treated him well during his time in custody, stressing that he had actually spent a “fabulous weekend”.
