One of ISIS-Linked Extremists, Operating in City of Guelmim, Arrested, BCIJ

As part of efforts made to detect extremist members with terrorist projects, the Central Bureau of Judicial Investigations (BCIJ), under the Directorate-General for Territorial Surveillance, arrested on Tuesday one of ISIS-linked extremists, aged 31 and operating in the city of Guelmim. In a statement, the BCIJ said investigations showed that the suspect is defending ISIS extremist ideology, through electronic applications to serve the agenda of this terrorist organization, knowing that he has a brother who is fighting for the so-called “Islamic State” in the Syrian-Iraqi region. This operation resulted in the seizure of several electronic devices, mobile phones and electrical cables, the statement said. The suspect will be brought to justice after the investigation, conducted by the public prosecutor, the same source concluded.
