Washington: Moroccan FM, Jared Kushner Discuss Means to Promote Bilateral Partnership
Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, held talks, Tuesday at the White House in Washington, with Jared Kushner, Senior Advisor to US President Donald Trump.
Held in the presence of Victoria Coates, Assistant to the President and Deputy National Security Advisor, this meeting focused in particular on strengthening bilateral partnership and allowed for an exchange of views on regional issues.
In addition, Bourita met with Ivanka Trump, Senior Adviser to President Trump.
The talks took place on the sidelines of the 4th session of the Morocco-USA Strategic Dialogue held on Tuesday in Washington, which was co-chaired by Bourita and US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.
During this session, the two parties “exchanged views on bilateral issues and welcomed the convening of Strategic Dialogue Working Groups during the course of the year that identified opportunities to work together on political, economic and security issues in Morocco and the region”.
The two countries also reaffirmed their commitment to a “closer economic partnership” and to “developing innovative ways to maximize the US-Morocco Free Trade Agreement.”
