Arab Summit Hails Signing by HM the King and Pope Francis of ‘Al-Quds Call’

The Tunis Declaration issued at the end of the 30th Arab Summit, welcomed on Sunday the signing by HM King Mohammed VI, Commander of the Faithful, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, and His Holiness Pope Francis of the “Al-Quds Call” aimed at preserving and promoting the specific multi-religious character, spiritual dimension and particular identity of the holy city.

The Arab countries also commended the chairmanship by His Majesty the King of Al-Quds Committee.

The Call unequivocally insists on the consolidation of the status of the holy city as a meeting place for the believers of the three monotheistic religions and a symbol of peaceful coexistence, where mutual respect and dialogue are fostered.
