Morocco/Argentina Friendly: Messi Officially Absent Due to Injury

FC Barcelona star Lionel Messi will be officially absent in the friendly match between his national team and Morocco on Tuesday at the Grand Stade de Tanger, due to an injury.

In a statement, the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) announced that it had been officially informed by the match agent that Messi’s absence was due to injury on Friday 22 March during the friendly match against Venezuela, which forced “La Pulga” to join FC Barcelona for treatment.

These clarifications follow FRMF’s request for explanations from the match agent, accredited by the Argentine Football Association, after reports of the absence of the five-time Ballon d’Or winner.

The Moroccan Federation had insisted in the contract organizing this game on the presence of the Argentina national football team A against the Atlas Lions.
