Moroccan Army Acquires New Equipment to Secure its Communications

The US giant of military industry Harris has revealed an additional contract worth 71 million US dollars to provide Morocco with new defence systems and field support services for the Moroccan army.

According to the same source, Harris Corporation has received a contract for 71 million dollars from US department of defence to deliver Ground and airborne radio systems as part of a military sale to Morocco covering support of tactical radio communications, equipment, training and field support services, Almassae reported.

The company is expected to complete the work during May of 2021. The company has concluded the deal under a military program of abroad sales of 405 million dollars with the US army to provide Morocco with these systems, including so-called auxiliary materials, spare parts, installation materials, training and field support services.

The single-channel ground-based and airborne radio systems are a special communications system used on the battlefield, used by the US military in its various operations, sold by the United States of America to its allies, and ensure reliable handling of voice communication data.

Harris Corporation is an American technology company, defense contractor and information technologyservices provider that produces wirelessequipment, tactical radios, electronic systems, night vision equipment and both terrestrial and spaceborne antennas for use in the government, defense and commercial sectors.
