Algeria: Four dead in an explosion at a military factory in Ain Defla

Four people were killed in an explosion Sunday in a factory making explosives for the Algerian army, located in downtown Defla Ain (140 km south-west of Algiers), announced the Ministry of national defense.

The “accidental” explosion, which killed four people, occurred at “the cords making workshop intended mainly for companies active in the mining, quarrying and public works’ , the ministry said in a statement.

The plant belongs to the National Board of Explosives under the Ministry of National Defence.
