Morocco is a safe destination for British Citizens

Morocco is among the world’s safest destinations for British tourists, according to a 2015 map of the Foreign Office, reported by British media.

The Kingdom is positioned at the same level as European countries, North America, Australia or Asia in this new card when the country is doing well in the Arab world.

With the exception of Morocco, the other countries of the region of North Africa and the Middle East are classified amongst places discouraged by the Foreign Office, while recommending to British tourists to observe extreme vigilance and caution.

Britain is one of the biggest suppliers of tourists in the world with nearly 60 million passengers a year.

Morocco, the first African destination for British tourists

Since 2013, Morocco became the first African destination from the UK, ranking far ahead of Egypt, Tunisia and South Africa. Last year, more than 626,000 British tourists visited the Kingdom, an increase of 14% compared to 2013, but professionals intensify efforts to reach a million tourists in the next two or three years.

The enthusiasm of British tourists to Morocco destination is explained by its proximity to Europe, political stability of the Kingdom, its cultural richness and diversity of its products.

These competitive advantages are in addition to the strengthening of air links and the promotional campaigns launched by the Moroccan National Tourist Office in the UK to attract more tourists.
