Five Arrested Near Tan-Tan for Drug Trafficking, Organization of Illegal Immigration Operations & Human Trafficking – Police

Policemen on Wednesday arrested five people for their alleged links to a criminal network active involved in drug trafficking, organization of illegal immigration operations and human trafficking.

Aged between 20 and 35, the suspects, including one individual who was wanted by the police, were arrested at El Ouatia region, about 25 km from the city of Tan-Tan, National Police (DGSN) said in a statement.

Search operations carried out at the homes of the suspects led to the seizure of a car, an inflatable boat, 13 drums filled with 260 liters of fuel, in addition to 4 mobile phones, 13 kilograms of cannabis resin and a motorcycle.

The suspects were placed on custody pending the end of investigations conducted under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office to arrest all those involved in these criminal acts, the source added.
