The ministry of Tourism, Handicrafts, Air Transport and Social Economy announced, on Sunday, the resumption, as from June 25, 2020, of the activity of tourist accommodation.
This decision follows the joint statement issued by the ministries of the Interior, Health, Industry, Trade, Green and Digital Economy, relating to the transition to the 2nd phase of the plan to alleviate sanitary confinement, the ministry indicated in a press release, specifying that the resumption of tourist accommodation activity will be limited, initially, in terms of capacity and conditioned geographically according to the exercise zone.
In this context, tourist accommodation facilities are required to comply with health provisions to guarantee the health safety of customers, staff and all other users of those facilities, stressed the same source, adding that those provisions concern in particular the regular disinfection of all the departments of the facilities, the limitation of the number of customers, the establishment of a 6-hour gap between each reservation and the disinfection of baggage at the time of check-in and the handing over of keys by customers at check-out.
The ministry further indicated that tourist accommodation facilities are required to respect a maximum capacity of 50% of accommodation and in all common areas such as restaurants, hammams, hairdressing salons, sports halls, shops and other points welcoming the public.
