Two New Confirmed Coronavirus Cases Reported in Morocco

Two new confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) were reported in Morocco, the ministry of health announced Wednesday. The new cases are the wife and daughter of the French tourist who tested positive to the Covid-19 and declared as the third confirmed case in Morocco, the ministry pointed out in a release.

The two new cases were detected following the monitoring of people who had contacts with infected people as part of the Covid-19 National Watch and Response Plan, it said. The two patients were under medical and placed on quarantine for two days before they tested positive for coronavirus, bringing the number of confirmed cases in Morocco to five, the source said, noting that all the confirmed cases came from regions where the epidemic has spread.

The two new cases, whose condition is not worrying, are under medical care at a hospital in Marrakech.
