Marrakech: Police Arrest Dutchman for Falsification and Sale of Foreign Passports

The Marrakech judicial police arrested, on Wednesday, a Dutch national (48 years old) for his alleged involvement in a case related to the falsification and sale of foreign passports.

According to preliminary data from the investigation, the suspect offered to provide a foreign passport to an individual for a sum of approximately 100,000 dirhams, said the national police (DGSN) in a statement, noting that the search operations resulted in the seizure of computer equipment, digital materials, printing machines, in addition to document laminating machines and several chip-free magnetic cards suspected of being used in forgery operations.

The Dutch national was remanded in custody to complete the investigation led under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office in order to determine the ins and outs of this case, the same source added.
