The Health Ministry exceeded the threshold of 50,000 administrative and medical executives making up its staff, said, on Monday in Rabat, Health Minister Anas Doukkali. In a statement to MAP, during a meeting on the progress report of the “Health Plan 2025”, Doukkali announced that the number of medical and administrative executives reached 51,000 this year, stressing that the significant deficit in human resources will be offset by the creation of 4,000 new jobs over 2018-2019.
The report, which focuses on the importance of training for paramedical professions as well as continued training, includes legislation, decrees and laws, such as Law N° 17-04 on the Medicine and Pharmacy Law. On the Hospital Information System, Doukkali said that several hospitals have begun using the billing service, explaining that the objective of this project is to improve governance and optimize resource utilization, as in the case of the electronic health record.
Describing as important the integration project between the public and private sectors, intended to provide data for epidemiological surveillance due to its contribution in making good decisions and implementing budget programming, Doukkali noted that since the initiation of this plan, 650 measures touching on 25 strategic outlines have been endorsed.
