Morocco Dismantles Six-Member Pro-ISIS Terror Cell

The Central Bureau of Judicial Investigations (BCIJ) dismantled on Tuesday a pro-ISIS terror cell made up of six people who were operating in the city of Salé. The suspects, aged between 22 and 28, swore allegiance to ISIS self-proclaimed “Caliph” and took part in the promotion of this terrorist group, the BCIJ pointed out in a statement.

They also tried to learn how to manufacture explosive devices with the aim of using them in terror attacks, it said. This operation led to the seizure of electronic devices, bladed weapons and books promoting extremist ideology.

The suspects will be brought to justice upon the completion of the investigation which is led under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office. Investigations are still underway to arrest other people suspected of belonging to this terror cell.
