Following the meeting between Moon Jae-in and Kim Jong-un, respectively leaders of South and North Korea in Pyongyang, students from Sejong University, one of the most prestigious universities in Seoul, organised, on Thursday 19 September, a concert and seminar on “peace and reunification”.
At the opening of the seminar, a magnificent dance show was held in the presence of many personalities including the academic and former president of Romania Emil Constantinescu and the Korean pacifist Man Hee Lee.
This Korean original dance, with its colours and movements, symbolises “peace, nature and harmony in diversity,” explained an organiser to Article19.ma.
It should be noted that a series of debates and conferences are underway in Seoul, since the beginning of the week, on the theme of peace and security in the world.
Former Tunisian President Moncef Marzouki spoke at these meetings on “Promoting peace in hearts and minds” in the context of the role and contribution of the media in international peace.
On this occasion he urged journalists in Korea “not to make the mistake of confusing Islam and Islamism”. Islam is “a religion of peace and tolerance and has nothing to do with the political violence of radical Islamists,” he said.
