Marrakech: Police Launch Investigation into Contempt Committed against Moroccan Flag by Frenchman

The prefectural service of Marrakech judicial police launched, Tuesday, an investigation under the supervision of the competent prosecutor’s office in order to clarify the ins and outs of the contempt committed against the Moroccan flag by a French citizen resident in Morocco.

In a statement, the national police (DGSN) said that the security services reacted quickly to a video published on the Internet, showing a 61-year-old Frenchman committing suggestive acts that despise the national flag, which required a judicial inquiry.

An investigation is underway to determine the ins and outs of these criminal acts as well as the circumstances of their shooting and promotion, before referring the suspect to the competent prosecutor’s office as soon as the inquiry, which continues under its supervision, is completed, DGSN pointed out.
