Colombia-Morocco Parliamentary Friendship Group Set Up in Colombian Senate

The first Colombia-Morocco parliamentary friendship group was recently created at the Colombian Senate as part of the reinforcement of interparliamentary cooperation between the two countries.

The creation of this group was announced during a meeting between President of the External Relations Commission in this legislative body Ivan Leonidas Name Vasquez and Ambassador of Morocco to Colombia Farida Loudaya.

At the origin of this initiative, Name Vasquez from the Green Alliance Party (Left) will chair this friendship group. In addition to the President of the External Relations Commission, this interparliamentary group also includes members representing the five major political groups in the country.

The resolution establishing this friendship group provides for creating channels of binational dialogue to bring the two law-making institutions closer in order to further strengthen the excellent bilateral relations between the Republic of Colombia and the Kingdom of Morocco.
