Morocco’s football team moved up one place to 41st in FIFA’s world ranking for June, published on Thursday.

Qualified for the 2018 World Cup finals in Russia, the Atlas lions are ranked 4th in Africa with 686 points behind Tunisia (21st), Senegal (27th), and DR Congo (38th). Morocco is followed in this ranking by Egypt (45th), Ghana (47th), Nigeria (48th), Cameroon (49th), and Burkina Faso (52nd).

World Cup holders Germany remain in top spot, followed by Brazil, Belgium, Portugal and Argentina.

The next FIFA world ranking will be published on 19 July 2018.
