Doctors – France eyes young medical teams in Moroccan hospitals

Health authorities in France have recently issued a new resolution aimed at canceling entrance exams amid foreign medical staff willing to have admission to French facilities. This decision, however, prompted a number of doctors, including Moroccans, to consider immigrating to France, given the temptations offered by these hospitals.

Moroccan health institutions, for their part, stated that France’s new resolution is a blow to the public sector in Morocco, for it has been depleted by private institutions, following the issuance of new judicial rulings allowing doctors to choose their sector of practice, Al-Massae said.

French hospitals are likely to attract a significant number of medical specialties, which can only lead Morocco’s public institutions to a severe medical crisis.
