Facebook – Casablanca police dismantle a criminal network targeting young girls willing to emigrate to UAE

Unfortunately, it’s a true story. Casablanca police department has recently dismantled a criminal network known for swindling young girls willing to emigrate to United Arab Emirates (UAE). Members of the ring opened a Facebook page aimed at luring their victims and extorting money.

Police officers arrested the masterminds of the ring (two brothers aged 26 and 30) in a coffee house at Casablanca city center, Al Ahdat Al Maghribiya reported on Monday, pointing that both suspects used to lure girls into paying 15.000MAD ($1500) to provide them with “legal contracts” for a job in UAE.

Police also succeeded to identify six victims for they have reportedly paid the network a total of 70.000MAD, the same source added.
