Marrakech – Police Dismantle Criminal Band Involved in Drug Trafficking

According to a statement by the police, the dismantling of this band took place after investigations carried out in coordination with the public prosecutor’s office, during which a woman was caught in the act of carrying a tablet of chira.

The preliminary inquiry revealed that the suspect belongs to a criminal band involved in drug trafficking and run by her husband who has criminal records.

The same source added that the band’s mastermind was arrested in addition to three of his accomplices, noting that the operation also resulted in the seizure of 10 grams of cocaine, 689 psychotropic pills, a tablet of chira, a knife, as well as a sum of money originating from drug trafficking.

The suspects were remanded in police custody to complete the probe conducted under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office.
