Spain: Arrest of three Moroccans belonging to a group linked to Daesh

Spanish police on Tuesday arrested three Moroccans in Madrid on suspicion of being linked to The Islamic State Group (ISIS) and prepared to carry out terrorist activities in Spain.

This operation was coordinated by the central court instruction and the prosecutor of the National Audience, the highest criminal court in Spain.

Madrid recently announced the dismantling of a terrorist cell active in recruiting and sending fighters to areas controlled by Daesh fighters in Iraq and Syria. A total of 10 people were arrested in Barcelona and Valencia, beginning last October, as part of this operation.

Similarly, a young Spaniard of 22, who was planning to travel to Turkey in order to join the then Daesh group was arrested October 20 at Madrid airport, will be recalled.
